Brief Information

LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation (GJF) has released the Scholarship Scheme 2026-27 notification for meritorious students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The scholarship is awarded for higher education in India in Government or Private colleges/universities, covering Medical, Engineering, Graduation, Diploma, Vocational, and ITI courses. Two types of scholarships are available: General Scholarship (after Class 12th/Diploma) and Special Scholarship (after Class 10th). Selected students will receive annual scholarship amounts ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 50,000. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official LIC website. Age Limit

Qualification

General Scholarship (After Class 12th/Diploma): Passed Class XII (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in 2023-24/2024-25/2025-26 and taken admission in 2026-27 for first year degree in Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS), Engineering (BE, BTECH, BArch), Graduation (any discipline), Integrated Courses, Diploma, Vocational Courses, or ITI courses.

Special Scholarship (After Class 10th): Passed Class X (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in 2023-24/2024-25/2025-26 and taken admission in 2026-27 for first year of Intermediate/10+2 pattern/Vocational or Diploma courses or ITI courses.

Eligibility Conditions

1. Income Limit: Parents/Guardian annual income (from all sources) must not exceed Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum.
2. Marks: At least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying exam (Class 10th or 12th/Diploma).
3. Admission Year: Must have taken admission in academic year 2026-27.
4. Not for Post-Graduation: Only Integrated courses combining Graduation + Post Graduation are eligible.
5. Other Scholarships: Candidates already receiving scholarship from other Trust/Institution are not eligible. Government scholarships are allowed.
6. Lateral Entry: Eligible for Engineering Degree if passed Diploma with 60% in 2023-24/2024-25/2025-26.
7. Correspondence/Part-Time/Open University: Not eligible.
8. Self-study courses (CA, CS, ICMAI): Not eligible.
9. One Student Per Family: Generally one student per family. Relaxation for two female candidates or if later applicant is female.
10. Attendance: Must have regular attendance as per institution norms.

Note: Candidates who pass with Grace Marks or clear failed subjects in subsequent semester are ineligible. Sympathetic consideration possible for extreme unavoidable circumstances with formal representation and verification.

Selection Process

1. Online application submission through https://licindia.in.
2. Applications automatically routed to one of LIC's 112 Divisions based on applicant's address PIN code.
3. Applicants with annual parental income between Rs. 0 – Rs. 4,50,000 are ranked strictly by academic merit, by each Division.
4. Selections made from top ranking applicants to the extent of vacancies.
5. Divisional waiting list initiated once baseline vacancies are filled.
6. Each Division selects: 20 Girls + 20 Boys for 10+2 level/Diploma scholarship; 40 Girls + 40 Boys for Graduation level scholarship. Gender slots interchangeable in event of intra-category shortage.
7. If not enough selections in some Divisions, vacant slots pooled centrally and allotted to Divisions with waiting list (based on suitable process).
8. Selected candidates officially informed by email.
9. Physical document verification conducted by Divisional Officials to authenticate marks and income.
10. Scholarship starts getting credited to verified Bank account via NEFT.

Documents Required

1. Income Certificate of parent (issued by competent Revenue Authorities – Tehsildar, District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Collector, Revenue Circle Officer, Sub Divisional Magistrate, designated officers of Panchayat/Municipalities, or any other District Authority authorised). Must state Annual Gross Income of both parents from all sources (including Agricultural Income) in preceding Financial Year.
2. Mark sheet of last qualifying exam (Class 10th or 12th/Diploma).
3. Proof of 1st year admission in current academic year (2026-27).
4. Copy of cancelled cheque with name of beneficiary.
5. Bank Account details and IFSC code (new IFSC for merged banks).
6. PAN and E-Aadhar Card Number (for irrevocable authorisation).
7. Passport size photograph (as per online form requirements).
8. Signature (as per online form requirements).

Note: Image size should not exceed 2MB. On selection, original documents must be produced for verification.

2. Click on the link for LIC GJF Scholarship Scheme 2026-27 on the home page.
3. Fill the online application form carefully. All fields are mandatory.
4. Enter percentage equivalent to grades if passed under CBSE or any other Board having Grading System.
5. Upload Income Certificate, Mark sheet of last qualifying exam, and proof of 1st year admission (image size not exceeding 2MB).
6. Ensure Bank details are accurate and account is active.
7. Provide active Mobile Number and valid email ID for all future communications.
8. Check all information before clicking on the submit button.
9. After submission, receive acknowledgement on E-mail with application number and name of Divisional Office.
10. Take a printout of the final submitted form for future reference.
