UGC NET June 2026 – Online Application (JRF & Assistant Professor)
Brief Information
The National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of UGC has released the official notification for UGC‑NET June 2026. This test determines eligibility for (i) Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor, (ii) Assistant Professor & PhD admission, and (iii) PhD admission only. The exam will be held in CBT mode for 86 subjects (new subject: Statistics). Online applications are open from 29 April 2026 to 20 May 2026. Candidates with a Master’s degree (55% for General, 50% for reserved) can apply.

Age Limit
For JRF: Maximum 30 years as on 22 June 2026 (relaxation: up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC‑NCL/PwD, 3 years for OBC‑NCL).
For Assistant Professor / PhD admission: No upper age limit.
Qualification
Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university/institution with at least 55% marks (for General/EWS) or 50% marks (for OBC‑NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender). Candidates appearing in final year of Master’s or awaiting results are also eligible.

- Computer Based Test (CBT) – Paper 1 (Teaching/Research Aptitude) & Paper 2 (Subject specific)

- Click on “UGC NET June 2026 Registration” – fill personal, academic details, choose exam city & subject
- Upload scanned photo and signature (as per specifications)
- Pay application fee online via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI
- Submit the form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference
