The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Ministry of Home Affairs, has released the official notification for the recruitment of Meritorious Sportspersons for the posts of Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota-2026. A total of 521 vacancies (HC/GD: 182; CT/GD: 339) are available across various sports disciplines. Eligible male and female candidates who are ordinarily residents of India can apply online from 12/10/2026 to 11/11/2026. Age Limit
Minimum: 18 Years — Maximum: 23 Years as on 01/08/2026 (Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02/08/2003 and later than 01/08/2008).
Age Relaxation: UR: 05 years; OBC (NCL): 08 years; SC/ST: 10 years; Ex-Servicemen (UR): 08 years; Ex-Servicemen (OBC): 11 years; Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST): 13 years.
Qualification
For HC/GD: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University. (Ex-Army personnel: equivalent Army qualification.)
For CT/GD: Matriculation (10th) or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
Sports Qualification: Must be a meritorious sportsperson who has represented the country in International Competitions, State/U.T. in National Games/Championship, Inter-University Tournaments, or won medals in Junior National/ Khelo India Games etc., as detailed in the official notification. Sports achievement must be of last two years (30/09/2024 to 30/09/2026).
