POWERGRID Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026 - NR-I
Brief Information
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharashtra Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, has invited online applications for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for its Northern Region - I (NR-I). Candidates who possess the requisite qualification (ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical/Civil) and have passed within the last two years are eligible to apply. A total of 91 training slots are notified across Haryana, Rajasthan, and Rajasthan Projects. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official POWERGRID website from 02.03.2026 to 11.03.2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian Citizen.
- Age: Minimum 18 years as on closing date.
- Qualification: Full-time regular degree/diploma/ITI from a recognized institute in the respective trade.
- Year of Passing: Result declared between 12.03.2024 to 11.03.2026 (within 2 years from closing date).
- Medical: Must be medically fit as per Apprentice Act, 1961.
Not Eligible If: Awaiting results, have prior apprenticeship experience of any duration, have job experience >1 year, or possess part-time/correspondence/distance qualification.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Based on merit (percentage of marks in qualifying exam).
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (in ratio 1:5) called for verification via email.
- Final Merit List: Based on verification and eligibility.
- Medical Certificate & Police Verification by candidate post-selection.
No Written Exam or Interview.
Application Process (Two-Step)
- Step 1 (Portal Registration):
- For ITI (Electrician): Register on NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).
- For Degree/Diploma: Register on NATS (nats.education.gov.in).
- Complete 100% profile and note the registration/enrollment number.
- Step 2 (POWERGRID Application):
- Visit www.powergrid.in → Careers → Engagement of Apprentices → Apply Online.
- Fill the form with NATS/NAPS number and other details.
- Upload required documents (photo, signature, certificates, etc.).
- Submit the application before 11.03.2026.
⚠️ Apply for only one region/state/trade. Multiple applications will be rejected.
