Indian Army Naib Havaldar Sports Quota Recruitment 2026

Brief Information

The Indian Army has released a recruitment notification for Direct Entry Havildar and Naib Subedar (Sports) under Sports Quota Entry Intake Series No. 06/2026. Unmarried Indian male and female candidates who are outstanding sportspersons and have participated in International/Junior/Senior National Championships/Khelo India Games/Youth Games/Khelo India University Games from 01 April 2024 onwards are eligible to apply. Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) and meet the age criteria. The application process is offline via Registered Post only. Selection Process

1. Application Shortlisting: Based on higher sports achievements
2. Issue of Call Up Letter: Through Email with trial date, time, and venue
3. Selection Trials: Physical Fitness Test, Physical Standards Test, and Skill Test
4. Medical Examination: At trials site by Army Medical Team
5. Final Selection: Based on vacancies in specific sports disciplines
6. Police Verification: Required before enrolment

Important Instructions

• Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates eligible
• Medical Standards: Mandatory medical examination; NDPS drugs - Zero Tolerance Policy
• Body Tattoos: Permitted only on specific areas; offensive tattoos prohibited
• Probation Period: 3 years; discharge if sports performance doesn't improve
• No Mobile Phones at selection site
• No Contact Lenses allowed
• Performance Enhancing Drugs: Strictly banned
• Selection is fair and transparent - NO BRIBE REQUIRED
• Beware of agents/touts - Army recruitment is purely on merit
• Fake documents will lead to legal action and termination
• No TA/DA for participation in trials
• No compensation for death/injury during trials
