Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years (all categories).
- Maximum Age for General Category: 37 years.
- Maximum Age for SC / BC of Punjab: 42 years.
- Maximum Age for Punjab State & Central Government Employees: 45 years.
- Upper Age for Ex-Servicemen of Punjab: As per Punjab Recruitment of Ex-Servicemen Rules, 1982 (age after deducting military service must not exceed upper limit by more than 3 years).
- Maximum Age for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) of Punjab: 47 years (10 years relaxation).
- Upper Age for Widows, Divorcees & Certain Other Categories of Married Women: Up to 40 years as per Govt. instructions dated 23.04.1984.
Qualification / Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognised education board.
- Punjabi must be passed at Matric level as a compulsory/elective subject or equivalent as per Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994.
- Educational qualification certificates must be issued on or before the last date of application.
- Candidate must satisfy all reservation, domicile and category conditions claimed in the online application form.

Selection Process
- The selection will be based on an Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions) written examination.
- Syllabus and exam pattern will be uploaded separately on the official website of PSSSB.
- Admit Cards for the written exam will be available only in online mode on the Board’s website; no intimation will be sent by post.
- Final merit list will be prepared based solely on marks obtained in the written examination.
- In case of a tie in written exam marks:
- Older candidate (by date of birth) will be placed higher.
- If still tied, higher percentage in essential qualification will be considered.
- If still tied, higher Matric marks will be considered.
- Shortlisted candidates as per merit will be called for counselling and document verification as per category-wise vacancies.
- Recommendation to the concerned department will be made only for candidates found fully eligible after document verification.
How to Apply
- Visit the official website sssb.punjab.gov.in and open the “Online Applications” link.
- Apply online from 21-11-2025 to 27-12-2025 (5:00 PM); no other mode is accepted.
- Submit separate applications and fees for each post if applying for multiple posts.
- Select the post, complete registration, and note the generated username/registration number.
- Login and fill the application form; upload photo, signature, and required certificates.
- Submit the form; pay the fee from the next working day till 29-12-2025.
- Pay via SBI challan, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
- After fee payment, download and print the final submitted form for future use.
- No corrections are allowed after final submission.
