Merchant Navy Personnel: Candidates with Certificate of Competency (2nd Mate/Mate/Master or 1st Class Engineer) can apply with relaxed age (1997-2008).
Commercial Pilot License (CPL): Valid DGCA CPL holders can apply for Pilot entry (age: 02 Jul 2002 to 01 Jul 2008).
NCC Candidates: NCC 'C' certificate (B Grade or above, not prior to 01 Jul 2024) gets 5% relaxation in shortlisting cut-off.

Medical Standards

Pilot/NAOO candidates have specific height/leg length requirements.
Candidates declared medically fit for CDSE Jul 27 course will be considered fit for all SSC branches (except Pilot/NAOO).

Selection Process

Shortlisting: Based on normalized marks in qualifying degree (5th semester for BE/B.Tech; all semesters for PG).
SSB Interview: 5-day selection process (Stage I & Stage II).
Medical Examination: For SSB-recommended candidates.
Merit List: Based on SSB marks, subject to vacancy and medical clearance.

The Indian Navy has released an official notification for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) Course commencing from Jan 2027. Training Details

Selected candidates will undergo a 4-year B.Tech course at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
B.Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
The complete training cost including books and study material will be borne by the Indian Navy.
