Age Limit
Technician Grade I Signal: 18-33 Years as on 01.07.2026
Technician Grade III: 18-30 Years as on 01.07.2026
Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 Yrs), OBC-NCL (3 Yrs), PwBD (10-15 Yrs), ExSM (3-8 Yrs after service deduction), Railway Staff (up to 40-45 Yrs), CCAA (Max 3 Yrs).
Qualification
Technician Grade I Signal: Bachelor of Science (Physics/Electronics/CS/IT/Instrumentation) OR 3 Years Diploma/Degree in Engineering in relevant streams from a recognized University/Institute.
Technician Grade III: Matriculation (10th) + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) OR Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in the specific trade(s) mentioned against each post. Diploma/Degree in Engineering is not accepted in lieu of ITI/CCAA for Pay Level-2 posts.
Note: Qualifications must be completed and certificates/date of declaration of result must be on or before the closing date (29.07.2026). Candidates awaiting results are NOT ELIGIBLE.

Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Separate CBT for each Pay Level (90 mins, 100 questions, Negative Marking 1/3). Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS-40%, OBC/SC-30%, ST-25%.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates (1:1 ratio with vacancies) must produce all original certificates.
- Medical Examination (ME): Must pass medical fitness test as per standards (A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1).

Apply Process
- Create an Account: Visit official RRB website (rrbapply.gov.in) and register using a valid personal mobile number and Email ID.
- Fill Online Application: Log in, choose only one RRB per Pay Level, fill personal & educational details, and select post preferences.
- Capture Live Photo: Use webcam/mobile phone to capture a live photograph during the application process (no pre-existing photo upload).
- Upload Signature: Upload scanned signature in JPEG format (black ink on white paper, running handwriting).
- Pay Fees Online: Pay the applicable examination fee through online mode.
- Submit & Print: Take a printout of the final submitted application form for future reference.
Important: A separate application and fee are required for each Pay Level (Technician Gr I and Technician Gr III). Applying to more than one RRB for the same Pay Level leads to rejection.
Important Instructions
- Modification: Details except "Create an Account" and chosen RRB can be modified from 01.08.2026 to 10.08.2026 with a non-refundable fee of ₹250 per modification.
- Scribe Facility: Available for PwBD candidates (Blindness, BA, Cerebral Palsy, etc.). Scribes must register on rrbapply.gov.in. Compensatory time of 20 mins/hour is provided.
- E-Call Letter: Download from official RRB website 4 days before CBT. No physical call letters will be sent.
- Banned Items: Electronic gadgets, watches, pens, paper, bags, etc., are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Free Travel Pass: Available for SC/ST candidates (Sleeper Class) for CBT/DV/Medical Examination.
- Reservation: SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates must possess valid certificates in prescribed formats (Annexures I, II, III). EBC (Economically Backward Class) is only for fee concession, not reservation.
- PwBD: Minimum 40% disability. Posts suitable for various disabilities (VI, HI, LD, OD, MD) are specified in Annexure A.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC): Candidates employed in Government/PSUs must produce NOC from employer during DV.
- Debarment: Multiple applications, using unfair means, or providing false information will lead to rejection and debarment from all future RRB/RRC exams.
