Brief Information

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks - XV (CRP RRBs XV) for recruitment of Group "A" Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group "B" Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Qualification & Experience

Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. Proficiency in the local language prescribed by the participating RRB is essential. Working knowledge of Computer is desirable. No post-qualification experience prescribed.
Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager) Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. Preference is given to candidates having degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy. Local language proficiency is essential. No post-qualification experience prescribed.
Officer Scale-II - General Banking Officer Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Preference is given to relevant Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation, IT, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy qualifications. 2 years as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Officer Scale-II - IT Officer Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. Relevant technical certifications are desirable. 1 year in the relevant field.
Officer Scale-II - Chartered Accountant Certified Associate from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. 1 year as a Chartered Accountant.

Penalty for Wrong Answers

There is a penalty for wrong answers in all Preliminary, Main and Single Level Objective examinations. For each wrong answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. No penalty is applied for an unanswered question.

Officer Interview

  • Interview is applicable only for Officer Scale-I, Scale-II and Scale-III.
  • Total Interview Marks: 100.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
  • Online Examination : Interview weightage is 80 : 20.
  • Candidates must qualify both the online examination and interview and rank sufficiently high for provisional allotment.

Application Rules

  1. A candidate can apply for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for one Officer post.
  2. In the Officers cadre, a candidate can apply for only one post: Scale-I OR Scale-II OR Scale-III.
  3. Separate applications and separate fees are required for each post applied for.
  4. Applications can be submitted online only.
  5. More than one application for the same cadre can lead to forfeiture of fees for earlier applications; only the latest valid completed application is retained.
  6. Once registered, an application cannot be withdrawn and paid fees are not refundable.
  7. Incorrect or false information/documents can lead to cancellation of candidature even after appointment.
  8. Candidates should maintain an active personal email ID and mobile number throughout the recruitment process.

Local Language Requirement

Proficiency in the prescribed local language is an essential qualification for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale-I. A candidate who has studied the relevant State language in Standard VIII or above in a Government-recognized school/board is considered proficient under the notification. Where the required proficiency is not available at selection, the candidate may be given six months from joining to acquire it, subject to the notification conditions.

Photograph & Exam-Day Important Instructions

  • Uploaded photograph should be recent, recognizable and approximately 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm.
  • Candidates are advised to retain multiple copies of the same photograph used during online registration.
  • For Preliminary Examination, the call letter is authenticated/stamped by the examination centre and should be retained.
  • Candidates called for Main Examination must bring the authenticated/stamped Preliminary call letter and authenticated/stamped ID proof copy along with the Main call letter and required documents.
  • For Officers Scale-II and III, candidates must submit the call letter and ID proof copy after the examination as instructed.
  • Rough sheets supplied at the examination centre must be returned before leaving the venue.

PwBD / Scribe Important Information

  • Eligible candidates using a scribe generally have to arrange the scribe at their own cost.
  • The scribe must satisfy the qualification and other conditions prescribed in the notification.
  • Eligible candidates may receive compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination, subject to the prescribed conditions.
  • Scribe/compensatory-time requirements should be indicated during online registration.
  • A scribe cannot simultaneously be a candidate for CRP RRBs XV.
  • One scribe can act as scribe for only one candidate in this recruitment process.

Provisional Allotment

Provisional allotment will depend on the actual vacancies reported by participating RRBs, merit, preferences where applicable, reservation guidelines and administrative requirements. The vacancies published in Annexure-I are expressly indicative and should not be treated as guaranteed final vacancies.

  • For Office Assistants and Officer Scale-I, allotment is restricted to the RRBs of the State/UT opted for, subject to the notification.
  • For Officer Scale-II and Scale-III, provisional allotment is based on merit-cum-preference and actual vacancies reported by RRBs.
  • Appointment is also subject to medical fitness and applicable RRB service/conduct rules.

  3. Register with basic details to get a Provisional Registration Number and Password
  4. Upload scanned Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, Handwritten Declaration, 10th Certificate, and other required documents (as per Annexure III)
