Age Limit
Maximum: 30 Years as on 01-Feb-2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) - 3 years, SAI Contractual Employees - period of service (min. 1 year), and Departmental Candidates - up to 5 years. Cumulative relaxation is allowed for eligible categories.
Qualification
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
1. Diploma or equivalent in coaching from SAI NS-NIS, Patiala or any other recognized Indian/Foreign University.
2. Participation in Olympics/Paralympics/Asian Games/World Championship with a Certificate Course in Coaching.
3. Dronacharya Awardee.

Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT) - 40% Weightage (100 MCQs, 2 Hours, Negative Marking)
- Coaching Ability Test (CAT) - 60% Weightage (Assessment of 40 coaching parameters)
- Document Verification
Final merit list is prepared based on composite score (CBT 40% + CAT 60%). Candidates are shortlisted for CAT in a ratio of 1:3 per sport and category.
