Age Limit (as on 1st January 2026)
Minimum: 18 years — Maximum: 28 years
Relaxation: SC/BC of Punjab: 33 years; Regular Govt Employees: 33 years; Ex-servicemen: as per norms (service period deducted).
Qualification (as on 1st January 2026)
Educational: 10+2 or equivalent from recognized board. For Ex-servicemen: Matriculation.
Mandatory: Passed Matriculation with Punjabi as compulsory/elective subject or equivalent Punjabi exam specified by Punjab Government. (Exemption for wards of Defence Personnel as per rules).
