The Faculty of Law - CDLU was established in 2003. The constitution, Power and Composition of the Faculty of Law is available in the Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa Act, 2003 (Haryana Act No. 9 of 2003) published in Haryana Govt. Gazette (Extraordinary), April, 2003. Faculty has separate independent building namely Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan (Teaching Block No. 3) with air-conditioned moot court, air-conditioned rich library along with digital library, air-conditioned legal aid clinic, air-conditioned seminar hall, common room for boys and girls separately, smart class room and ramp facility for the handicapped students.The Faculty offers two bachelor programmes in the field of Law, one after graduation i.e. LL.B (Three year) Professional programme and another after (10+2) level i.e. B.A.LL.B (Five year) Integrated programme. These programmes incorporate fascinating subject with excellent career opportunities in the fields of law, corporate and consulting firms. Beside these programme, the faculty also offers LL.M (Two year) degree programme under CBCS and Ph.D programme in the emerging areas of the law requiring innovative studies.

About the Department of Law
The Department of Law was established in 2000 in the erstwhile Post Graduate Regional Centre, Sirsa of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. The Department has separate building namely Dr. AmbedkarBhawan(Teaching Block no.3) with moot court room, rich library along with digital library, common room for boys and girls separately, seminar room, smart class room, legal aid clinic along with ramp facility for the handicapped students. (Two Year Postgraduate Programme)
The objective of the course is to enhance the understanding, expertise and skills that the students intend to acquire. The objective of the course is to render research oriented education. The students can enter in variety of jobs keeping in view their interest in particular filed like research, teaching, administration etc. The programme is devoted to dissertation along with training in research methodology. The student will be able to apply research techniques to the research and further will be able to make the critical analysis of the subjects.
B.A. LL.B (Hons.)
(Five Years Integrated Course Undergraduate Programme)
The B.A. LL.B Programme is an integrated degree of Arts and Law subjects based on Learning Outcomes Based Curriculum Framework approachthat provide rigorous, innovative programme of legal education responding adeptly to changing needs and opportunities. The programme is framed with objectives of providing knowledge of Law as well as of the subjects like English, Hindi, Sociology, Economics and Political Science with basic knowledge of Computer. During the span of five years students are able to attain thorough and better knowledge of each subject.
